The children and staff from Ford Primary very much enjoyed their day spent taking part in the Lynher Voyage of Adventure workshop. We spent the day in a beautiful location taking part in several well-organised, engaging activities to help us learn more about the tides, renewable energy and our local area and its history. The ultimate highlight of our day was being aboard the Lynher – this is something all of our children will remember for a very long time to come!
Become Victorian Crew!
Be transported back in time to the late 1890s… Tamar Barges are the fastest means of transport in the Plymouth waterways and as crew you are required to move cargo from the historic Quay at Cotehele onto the Lynher Barge.
You will learn the skills required to be traditional barge crew, from ropework to crane handling. You will also experience making a real Victorian meal with seasonal produce from the Tamar Valley.
