You will learn the skills required to be traditional barge crew, from ropework to crane handling. You will also experience making a real Victorian meal with seasonal produce from the Tamar Valley.
Duration of all workshops is 4 hours.
All workshops are appropriate for 6 to 12 people of all ages. Prices start at £390 (up to 6 people) or £750 (up to 12 people)
Discover Plymouth Sound
Lynher’s Voyage of Discovery of the Plymouth Sound will help you identify and recognise symbolic land and water marks from the heart of the Sound. From Francis Drake’s to the Eddystone Lighthouse, the Hooe and the Breakwater, there is plenty to learn about the history and beauty of this natural harbour.
The Plymouth Sound National Marine Park is also rich in biodiversity, its beautiful waters are host to endangered species such as the seahorse and the Shad.
Lynher’s crew are qualified, professional and have experience working with people of all ages and abilities.
The children and staff from Ford Primary very much enjoyed their day spent taking part in the Lynher Voyage of Adventure workshop. We spent in the day in a beautiful location taking part in several well-organised, engaging activities to help us learn more about the tides, renewable energy and our local area and its history. The ultimate highlight of our day was being abroad the Lynher – this is something all of our children will remember for a very long time to come!
